KASI RESIDENTS TEACH ABUSER A TOUGH LESSON

Cops are investigating two murder cases in Mshongoville, Mogale City, after a man who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend with a sharp object was beaten by residents. The two were rushed to Leratong Hospital in the same ambulance but later died of their injuries. Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale told Daily Sun the drama started when the two got into an argument inside their shack in Mshongoville.

When news of the fight spread, furious residents hunted the man down. Mashale said they attacked the man. Residents told the SunTeam they don’t allow men to abuse women, men must know women are not their property. They said the women from the area decided to teach men who abused their partners a lesson, so they’d know women should be respected, loved and treated well.

Indeed women and children abuse is not a good thing but the residents must not take law onto their own hands as they are also committing crime. Residents must report certain matters to the police so that legal actions may be taken.

HEARTBREAK AS SIBLINGS FACE DEADLY CANCER

Siblings Jacob and Sophia give each other a fierce hug as they go through cancer treatment in hospital. Photo by Liliane Hajjar/Facebook  ~

A MUM has spoken out on social media of her family’s heartbreak as two of her children battle deadly cancer at the same time.According to The Sun, mum Liliane Hajjar from Soweto in Gauteng only found out in January that cancer had once again returned to both her children Jacob (14) and Sophia (5).

Jacob was the same age as his sister when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Ten months and many surgeries later, Jacob and his parents were told his cancer had cleared. The surgeries had left Jacob blind in one eye and unable to hear in one ear, but the family was just relieved he would live.

This is such a terrible story , I am so heartbroken right now and I am putting all my prayers for those kids. I am hopping that the surgeries will be successful.

Walter Sisulu University closes campuses amid rampant violence

Walter Sisulu University (WSU) shut three of its four campuses on Thursday for safety reasons amid violence between security guards, students and the police. Violence spilt onto the N2 outside Butterworth when hundreds of WSU Ibika students set up a blockade and police opened fire with rubber bullets‚ while students threw rocks at the police before scattering.

The main issue for students is a shortage of decent accommodation‚ which has led to overcrowded student rooms. Tukwayo said WSU did not have the money to repair residences. The university has been thrust into chaos and violence this week‚ starting with a shoot-out and infighting among security guards, in which a student and three guards were injured; the torching and damaging of vehicles; as well as street being blockaded in East London on Wednesday night.

The closure of these campuses has affected lots of student as some had borrow to travel back home because their homes are far.I so wish there will be resolutions implemented soon ,so that students can go back to school and study, I also feel for students who are doing semester modules as they are loosing so much time to study as their examinations are going to be written in June.

Former President Jacob Zuma To Face 18 Charges

Prosecutors analysing former president Jacob Zuma’s representations to avoid his day in court have recommended that all charges against him be reinstated. Zuma is expected to face 18 charges of corruption, money laundering and racketeering, originating from 783 questionable payments he received.
This could be the first of several legal battles faced by Zuma who was recently forced by the ANC to resign. The original case against Zuma was withdrawn in April 2009 before he became president.

Zuma’s first court appearance and a trial date have yet to be determined.Since Wednesday the team of prosecutors has been working around the clock, putting together an indictment detailing the charges that Zuma and his co-accused will finally face after years of protracted legal wrangling.
“There is no turning back. Zuma has to have his day in court." He is the only reason that South Africa is facing a tragedy of an increase in VAT to 15% ,and we must not forget that he is the one linked with the Guptas and behind the state capture.
